VEG SIZZLER AT HOME


Restaurant style veg sizzler can be easily made at home and it's nice of serving flavorful food with loads of veggies into our diet.


PANEER PEPPER GARLIC RICE:




INGREDIENTS:

Basmati Rice -1 cup
paneer - 1cup cut into cubes.
spring onion whites-2 tbsp
garlic-1 tsp finely chopped
bell pepper-2 tbsp
soy sauce- 1tsp
salt- to taste
pepper -to taste
olive oil -1 tbsp

METHOD:

  • Cook basmati rice in 2 cups of water with adequate salt.
  • In a skillet, add a tbsp of olive oil and add a tsp of garlic clove finely chopped.
  • Saute until trnslucent and add the spring onion whites .
  • Once the onion turns translucent ,add the cubed paneer and saute until it turns golden.
  • then put in bell pepper and saute for few seconds.
  • Add in soysauce, salt and pepper .
  • Then add the cooked rice and mix thorougly.
  • Garnish with spring onion greens.
  • Transfer the paneer pepper garlic fried rice in a serving bowl.

VEGETABLE STIR FRY

INGREDIENTS:

broccoli -1/2 cup
baby corns-1/2 cup
mushroom-1/2 cup
green beans-1/2 cup
carrot-1/2 cup
olive oil -11/2 tbsp
ginger -1 tsp finely chopped
garlic -1 tsp finely chopped
green chili -1 finely chopped

METHOD:

  • Blanch all the veggies one by one in boiling water for 2 minutes.
  • In a wide skillet add olive oil and saute chopped ginger,garlic and green chili
  • Then thrown in the colorful blanched veggies.
  • Stir fry adding adequate salt and pepper for 5 minutes on high flame.

SCHEZWAN SIZZLER SAUCE

INGREDIENTS:

Oil -1 tbsp
garlic -1 tsp finely chopped
onion -1/4 cup chopped
bell pepper-1/4 cup chopped
schezwan sauce -1/4 cup
brown sugar -1 tsp
soy sauce -1/2 tsp
water -1/2 cup
corn flour -1 tsp

METHOD:

  • In a pan, heat oil and saute garlic until translucent.
  • Then saute onion and bell pepper one after the other.
  • Put in the schezwan sauce, soysauce, brown sugar.
  • Pour 1/2 cup of water and let it come to a boil.
  • Dilute corn flour in little water and add it to the boiling sauce and cook for a minute or two until the sauce thickens.

ARRANGING SIZZLER 

  • heat the sizzler plate nice and hot.
  • Place it over the wooden tray and start arranging thin cabbage sheets
  • Place a bowl of paneer pepper garlic rice on one side and bowl of veggie stir fry on the other side.
  • Top it up with french fries.
  • Pour the hot schezwwan sizzler sauce preppared all over and put butter onto the sides for the smoky flavor.
  • Serve hot immediately!!!
