MAKE McD MEAL AT YOUR HOME

(HEALTHIER VERSION)


Healthy lifestyle and healthy eating is very essential.But sometimes we do like to give happiness to our taste buds and end up eating food with preservatives and processed foods.To avoid it let us try making it in a healthier version from the home and still enjoy eating!!


BAKED FRENCH FRIES:



INGREDIENTS:

Potatoes           -4

salt                  -3/4 tsp

pepper            -1/2 tsp

chilli flakes    -1/2 tsp

dried herbs of your choice -1/2 tsp

oil                  -1 tbsp


METHOD:

  • Peel of your potatoes and cut it in the shape of fries.
  • put the cut potatoes in water , so that the starch in potatoes get removed.
  • Drain off and dry them  by spreading it on a cloth for at least 15 minutes.
  • Then transfer it into a plate and add in salt, pepper , chili flakes , dried herbs.Drizzle in oil and mix it all thoroughly.
  • Oil a baking tray &arrange the fries.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 C and bake it for 15-20 minutes.
  • In between ,say 10 minutes open the oven and turn it using a tong.
  • Crispy baked fries is ready to serve

BAKED CHICKEN NUGGETS:



INGREDIENTS:

Boneless chicken (cut in diamond shape)-1/4 kg
Egg -1
salt - as needed
pepper -as needed
Wheat flour -1/2cup
Bread crumbs  -1/4 cup
oil            - to brush on top

METHOD:

  • Marinade the chicken with adequate salt and pepper.
  • In a plate take 1/4 cup wheat flour and mix with salt and pepper
  • Beat the egg and add adequate salt and pepper
  • In another plate take 1/4 cup of wheat flour and 1/4 bread crumbs with adequate salt and pepper.
  • Take a piece of chicken and coat it with wheat flour mixture.
  • Then dip it in the egg mixture and finally  coat it well with the wheat flour bread crumb mixture.
  • Repeat the same process for the remaining pieces and arrange it in a tray , brush oil on the top of the chicken
  • Bake it in an 180c preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  • Turn the chicken to the other side in between

CHICKEN BURGER


INGREDIENTS:

For Patties:
Ground Chicken   -1/4 kg
ginger garlic paste -1/2 tsp
Mayonnaise          -1 tbsp
Mustard sauce       -1/2 tbsp
Onion                    -1 tbsp chopped
Salt                        -to taste
Pepper                   -to taste
Chili flakes            -optional
Dried herbs of your choice
oil                         -to shallow fry

For Arranging:
Mayonnaise +Mustard sauce mixed(each 1 t bsp)
lettuce -4 slices
onion -1 sliced
Tomato -1 sliced
Cheese slices -4
Burger Buns         -4

METHOD:

  • Mix all the ingredients listed in for Patties (except oil) and divide it into 4 equal patties
  • Heat oil , and fry the patties for 5 minutes in a medium flame
  • Turn the patties and cook it for another 3-5 minutes.
  • When it is almost done ,place the cheese slices.
  • Spread the mayonnaise and mustard mixture  on the buns(you can even apply ketchup too)
  • Place the lettuce, sliced onions over it and then top it with chicken patties with melted cheese.
  • Finally arrange the sliced tomatoes and cover it with the bun

A healthier version of the McD meal is ready!!Enjoy!!
