Valentine Haupia

Just go ahead and impress your sweet heart with this dash of flavors filled dessert!!!.


Coconut milk        -11/2 cup
whole milk            -11/2 cup
corn flour              -3 tbsp
rock sugar             -3 tbsp
Red color              -pinch

For red wine sauce:

Red wine                 -1 cup
rocksugar                -3 tbsp
cinnamon stick       -1
vanilla extract         -1/2 tsp

For strawberry compote:

Straw berry              -8 chopped
water                        -1 cup
sugar                        -3 tbsp
corn starch               -1/2 tsp


  • In a blender grind sugar and cornflour into a fine powder.

  • In a pan cook 11/2 cup of coconut milk & 11/2 cup of whole milk .

  • When it becomes warm add  the blend sugar and corn flour powder.Keep stirring and cook until it become thick.

  • Transfer into a butter coated bowl and refrigerate it for at least 2 hours.

  • you can repeat the same process above , to make another color .and refrigerate it too.

  • Once the pudding gets set cut it into hearts using a cookie cutter.
Red wine sauce:
  • Cook red wine ,sugar,cinnamon stick and vannila extract together until it reduces to 1/4 cup.Discard the cinnamon stick  

  • Red wine sauce is ready.

Strawberry Compote:

  • Cook a cup of water,chopped strawberry,sugar together until strawberry starts losing its color and becomes soft.

  • Then add 1/2 tsp of corn starch and cook  until it gets thickened.


  • Pour the red wine sauce and place the heart shaped haupia and top it up with strawberry compote.Give a treat to your Sweet heart.
