Green Peas Vada

Green Peas Vadai


Green peas vadai  is a deep fried green peas patties which can be made for a change from having usual vadas. It can be made in a jiffy.

Ingredients:

Green peas frozen                       -1 cup
Roasted Bengal gram flour           -2 tbsp
Rice flour                                   -1 tbsp
Chili powder                               -1/2 tsp
Cumin powder                            -1/4 tsp
Salt                                            - to taste
Shallots                                      -2 tsp finely chopped
Oil                                             -to deep fry

preparation time:5 minute
Cooking time     :10 minute
Method:


  • Thaw the frozen peas .Put it in a blender with chili powder,cumin powder,salt and pulse for just 5-10 seconds.

  • Transfer it into a bowl and add rice flour ,roasted bengal gram flour(pottu kadalai mavu) and shallots.


  • Make it into patties .Heat oil for frying.

  • Fry the patties until golden evenly.

  • Serve hot.


Makes: 6 patties.
