Pav Bhaji

Pav Bhaji


Ingredients:

potato              -200 g cooked
cauliflower      -2/3 cup chopped
carrot               -2/3 cup cubed
peas                 -2/3 cup
green beans     -2/3 cup chopped
beetroot          -1/4 cup chopped
onion               -1 finely chopped
bell pepper      -1/2 finely chopped
tomato             -11/2 finely chopped
ginger paste     -1/2 tsp
garlic paste                -1/2 tsp
pav bhaji masala        - 2 tsp
Kashmiri chili powder-2 tsp
salt                              -to taste
butter                          -2 tbsp
lemon juice                 -little
cilantro                        - to garnish

Method:

  • Peel the cooked potato and mash it.
  • In a pressure cooker add carrot,cauliflower,green beans,peas, beetroot(for the natural red color you can skip it too) with 11/2 -2 cups of water and cook for 3-4 whistles.


  • Once the pressure goes off add the mashed potatoes to it and mash all the veggies together thoroughly with a masher.

  • In a kadai heat butter and fry ginger garlic paste.

  • Follow it with chopped onion and bell pepper.

  • Then add the chopped tomatoes.

  • When it becomes mushy add salt,chili powder and pav bhaji masala powder to it.

  • Mix well and add the cooked& mashed veggies to it.

  • cook for few more minutes.Squeeze some lemon juice and garnish with cilantro.
  • Butter the Pav(Burger bread is used here) and toast it.

  • Serve the Pav with the yummy bhaji masala
