Baby corn pulav


Basmathi Rice          -11/4 cup
Baby corn                 -300 g
bell pepper red,green-1/2 cup cubed
Ghee/oil                    -1 tbsp
cinnamon                  -1 /2 ''
cloves                        -2
bay leaf                     -1
yogurt                        -2
salt                             -to taste

To grind:

Tomato                      -1
ginger garlic paste      -2 tsp
mint leaves                 -1/4 cup
fennel seeds                -1/3 tsp
cinnamon                    -1/2 inch
clove                           -2
green chilies                -3-4


  • Soak Basmathi Rice for 15 minutes.
  • Blend the ingredients given to ground into a fine paste.

  • In a pressure cooker heat oil /ghee add temper with cinnamon,cloves and bayleaves.

  • Add the ground paste and cook until the raw flavor goes off.

  • Put the baby corn roundels and bell peppers.

  • Add adequate salt.

  • Mix well and add the yogurt.

  • Follow it with the drained rice.

  • Pour 2 cups of water.Pressure cook it for a whistle.

  • When the pressure goes off open the lid .

  • Baby corn Pulav is ready to serve.
