Garlic Chutney

Garlic Chutney


Garlic                - 1cup peeled
tomato               - 1 cup chopped
red chillies        -3
mustard seeds    -1/4 tsp
urad dhal           - 1/2 tsp
salt                    - to taste
oil                      - 1tbsp


  • In a pan  heat oil and temper with red chillies.

  • Put peeled garlic into it and fry until golden,

  • Add the chopped tomatoes and fry until mushy and desired salt.

  • Allow it to cool and blend it into a fine paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan and allow mustard seeds to splutter ,add the urad dhal and fry until golden

  • Pour the tempering over the ground paste

  • Garlic chutney is ready to serve with dosa/idli/chapathi

Serves  2-4
