Tomato dhal
Ingredients:
Moong dhal - 1/4 cupTomato - 3 finely chopped
onion - 1/2finely chopped
garlic cloves - 2
curry leaves -few
hing -pinch
mustard seeds -1/4 tsp
urad dhal -1/4 tsp
cumin seeds -1/4 tsp
green chillies -4-5
cilantro -to garnish
butter -1tsp
turmeric -pinch
salt -to taste
Method:
- In a pressure cooker cook moong dhal with little hing and water for upto 2 whistles.
- In a kadai heat butter and allow mustard seed to splutter.
- Temper with urad dhal, cumin seeds, curry leaves, chopped garlic, green chillies and turmeric
