Tamagayoki(japanese cuisine)



spring onions-3tbsp finely chopped
salt-to taste
chilli powder/chilli flakes -1/2 tsp
non stick spray/oil


  • In a bowl add four eggs and beat it well.

  • Add desired salt,chilli flakes,spring onions to it and mix well.

  • Heat a tawa and use non stick spray/drizzle oil

  • Start pouring the egg into a thin sheet ,and keep the remaining separately.
  •  Start rolling from one edge like rolling bed sheet  (see pic) and move to a corner.
  • Again pour a thin sheet. Repeat the same rolling step .The layers become thick and soft .
  • Keep repeating until the egg is done.

  • Now cut it into squares and serve hot.

  • Tamagayoki is just soft and melts in your mouth.
