Onion Chutney

Onion Chutney


onion                  -2 large
green chillies      -2-3
urad dhal            -1tbsp+1/2 tsp
mustard seeds    -1/2 tsp
curry leaves       -few
salt                     -to taste
oil                       -2 tsp


  • In a pan heat oil and fry urad dhal and green chillies until golden
  • Add the chopped  onions and fry until golden.
  • add desired salt ,switch off and allow it to cool
  • Blend it in a mixer.
  • In a pan heat oil and temper with mustard seeds, urad dhal and curry leaves
  • Pour the tempering over the ground mixture.
  • Serve the onion chutney along with dosa/idli
Serves  2-4
