Coriander chutney/Kothumalli chutney
Ingredients:
Cilantro/kothumalli - 21/2 cups finely chopped
onion - 1 cup finely sliced
tomato -1/2 cup finely sliced
green chillies -2
garlic -3 cloves
mustard seeds -1/4 tsp
urad dal -1/2 tsp
chana dhal -1 tsp
salt -to taste
Method:
- In a pan heat oil and add chana dhal, green chilies, garlic cloves.
- Once it turns golden add sliced onions and cook until golden.
- follow it with chopped tomatoes .
- After 2 minutes add the finely chopped cilantro .
- Cook until it shrinks completely and allow it to cool off.
- Blend it into a fine paste.(you can add little water if you need)
- Temper it with mustard seeds and urad dhal.
- Serve with idli/dosa
Serves 2-4
