Achari Fish masala
Ingredients:
Fish - 3/4 kg cleaned and cutOnion -11/2 cups finely chopped
tomato -11/2 cup finely chopped
ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp.
turmeric -1/4 tsp
chilli powder -1/2 tsp
salt -to taste
oil -3-4 tbsp.
For Achari masala:
Red chillies -3
mustard seeds -1tsp
fennel seeds/sombu-1 tsp
onion seeds/kalonji-1 tsp
cumin seeds -1/2 tsp
fenugreek seeds -1/2 tsp
Method:
- In a pan dry roast the ingredients given for achari masala until nice aroma comes out.
- Allow it to cool off and blend it into a fine powder.
- In a pan heat oil and add the chopped onions and fry until golden brown.
- Add ginger garlic paste and turmeric and fry until raw flavor goes off.
