Spicy mushroom masala
Ingredients:
Mushroom - 450gonion - 1 large finely chopped
ginger garlic paste - 1 1/2 tsp
tomato - 1 finely chopped
coriander powder - 1 tsp
cumin powder - 1tsp
pepper powder - 1 tsp
turmeric - pinch
salt - to taste.
sesame oil -1-2 tbsp.
For tempering
fennel seeds -1/2 tsp
curry leaves - few
red chillies -6-8
For dry roasting
urad dhal -1/2 tbsp.
curry leaves -2 sprigs
red chillies - 1
peppercorns -1/4 tsp
Method:
- In a pan dry roast the ingredients given for grinding until nice aroma comes out. Allow it to cool and blend it into a fine powder.
- In a heavy bottomed pan heat oil and temper with fennel seeds,broken red chillies and curry leaves.
Add onions and fry until golden.
- Add tomatoes and cook for 3 minutes
- Add the mushrooms and mix well.
