Bottlegourd Raitha/Suraikai pachadi

Bottle gourd Raita /Suraikai raita



Ingredients:

bottle gourd/suaraikai -1 cup shredded
beaten yogurt              -1/2 cup
salt                               -to taste
oil                                -1 tsp
mustard seeds              -1/4 tsp
cumin seeds                 -1/4 tsp
green chillies               -2 slitted

Method:


  •  In a microwave safe bowl add the deseeded and shredded bottle gourd and cook it for 3 minutes.

  • Beat yogurt in a bowl

  • Mix salt with the suraikai/bottle gourd  and the beaten yogurt.
  • In a pan heat oil and allow mustard seeds and cumin seeds to splutter and put slitted green chillies to it.

  • Pour the tempering into the bowl .
  • Bottlegourd/suraikai raitha is ready to serve

  • Serve with chapathi/pulav/biriyani
