Tofu Bhurji

Tofu Bhurji





Ingredients:

Extra firm tofu          - 350 g
onion                         - 1 medium finely chopped
tomato                       - 2 small finely chopped
bell pepper                -  1/2  chopped
gingergarlic paste     - 1 tsp
coriander powder     -  11/2 tsp
garam masala           -  1/2 tsp
turmeric                    -1/4 tsp
salt                            - to taste
cumin seeds              - 1/2 tsp
green chillies            - 3-4
oil                             - 2 tsp

 Method:

  • Drain the tofu , crumble it and keep it aside.
  • In a pan heat oil and allow cumin seeds to crackle.



  • Add the onion and chopped green chillies.



  • Once it turns transparent add ginger garlic paste,turmeric, and fry until the raw flavor goes off.



  • Now add the chopped bell pepper and fry for 2-3 minutes.



  • Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for another minute or two.




  • Add desired salt, coriander powder, garam masala and mix well.




  • After a minute add the crumbled tofu and mix well.



  • Cook until the moisture in tofu is completely dried  .



  • Serve as a main dish or as a side for chapathi/Rice
