Stuffed Okra/bhendi(vendaikkai)

Stuffed Okra/Bhendi(vendaikkai)



Okra            - 200 g
oil                -2 tbsp
curry leaves -few

For stuffing:

roasted chanadhal powder -1 tbsp
coriander powder              -2 tsp
cumin powder                    -11/2tsp
ginger garlic paste            -11/2 tsp
chilli powder                    -11/2 tsp
salt                                    -to taste
amchur powder                 -1/2 tsp



  • Clean and slit all the okra at the centre for stuffing.
  • Mix the ingredients given  for stuffing in a bowl.

  • Stuff it in every okra.

  • Heat oil in a pan and temper with curryleaves.

  • Add the stuffed okra and fry all sides sprinkling little water in between until well done

  • Serve as a appetizer or as a side dish for Rice and curry
