Cabbage yakhini/Muttaikos kuzhambu


Cabbage                        - 400g
yogurt                           - 1 cup
salt                                - to taste
kashmiri chilli powder  - 21/2 tsp
whole garam                 - to temper
fennel powder              - 1/4 tsp
ginger powder              - 1 tsp
turmeric                       -1/4 tsp
oil                                - 1 tsp


  • Beat yogurt well(do not use sour) and keep it aside
  • Clean and cut cabbage into cubes
  • In a cooker/pan heat oil and temper with whole garam.

  • Add the chopped cabbage and fry for a minute or two.

  • Now add salt,turmeric,kashmiri chilli powder,ginger powderand salt

  • Stir well and sprinkle little water and pressure cook it for a whistle(if you use a pancook until cabbage is well done)

  • Now add the beaten yogurt to it and desired water and cook for just 2 minutes.

  • Serve this diet curry with Rice/Chappathi
