yellow moong dal dosa/pasiparuppu dosai


yellow moong dhal/pasiparuppu  -  1 cup
ginger                                           -   1/2 inch
green chillies                                -   2
hing                                              -   1/4 tsp
salt                                               -     to taste
cumin seeds                                 -    1/2 tsp


  • Soak moongdhal inwater for atleast 3 hours.
  • Drain the water.
  • In a blender put drained yellow moongdhal,green chillies,ginger,hing and salt.

  • Blend it into a fine paste adding little water to make a dosa batter consistency.
  • Add cumin seeds to it.

  • Heat dosa pan and pour a spoon of batter and make a circle by spreading it in circular motions(like u make ordinary crispy dosa)

  • Pour little oil/ghee and turn when the lower part turns golden
  • Cook another few seconds

  • Serve with sambhar and chutney
Serves 2-4
