PRAWN STARTER RECIPES
Prawns are a delight to seafood lovers and here we have shared two south indian style starter recipes with prawns that's filled with nice spice and flavors
PRAWN TAWA ROAST
INGREDIENTS:
Prawns -8-10
oil -to fry
To marinade:
salt- to taste
chili powder-1 tsp
turmeric-1/4 tsp
cumin powder-1 tsp
ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
cumin powder-1 tsp
tamarind paste-1/2 tsp
Rice flour-2 tbsp
oil - 1tsp
METHOD:
- Marinade the prawns with all the ingredients listed under marinade for at least 30 minutes in a refridgerator.
- In a cast iron tawa heat oil and tawa roast the prawns on both sides until well cooked.
- Serve hot!!!
PRAWN CHILI ROAST
INGREDIENTS:
Prawns -12-15
onion -1/2 finely chopped
tomato -1/2 finely chopped
soysauce-1 tsp
curry leaves -few
To marinade
lemon juice-1 tbsp
salt-to taste
chili powder-1 tsp
turmeric powder
To grind:
Garlic cloves-2
ginger clove size -2
shallots-5
green chili -1
METHOD:
- Marinade the prawns with ingredients listed to marinadefor at least 10 minutes.
- Grind the ingredients listed to grind into a fine paste.
- In a skillet heat oil and fry prawn on both sides and remove it into a plate.
- To the same pan add the chopped onions and saute for few seconds.
- Add the ground masala paste and saute for few minutes until nice and golden.
- Then add in the chopped tomato, curry leaves.
- When the tomato becomes mushy add soysauce , mix well.
- Now put in prawns and coat it with the cooked masala and switch off the flame.
- Serve hot!!
