Pancha dhania mixture



Ingredients:


dried peas                          - 1  cup
chana dhal /bengal gram      - 200 g( 1 cup heaped)
thatta payaru/cow pea beans- 200 g(1 cup heaped)
kollu/horse gram                  -200 g(1 cup heaped)
pasipayaru/green gram         -200 g(1 cup heaped)
curry leaves                        - few
salt                                     - to taste
chilli powder                       - as per your taste
cumin powder                      - 2 tsp coarsely ground
pepper powder                     - to taste


Method:




  • In a bowl soak dried peas in water for 48 hours.

  • Soak ,thatta payaru/cow pea beans,kollu/horse gram ,pasipayaru/green gram in water separately in each bowl for 24 hours.




  • Soak chana dhal/bengal gram for 12 hours in water separately
.

  • Change water every 12 hours from all soaked ingredients.


  • Drain everything separately and spread over a cloth and dry for at least an hour.




  • In a pan heat oil for frying.
  • Fry dried peas ,thatta payaru,chana dhal ,kollu ,pasipayaru one by one until the sizzling sound stops.











  • Fry curry leaves separately for few seconds.

  • In a mixing bowl add all the fried items  mix well along with salt, chili powder, pepper powder and cumin powder.

  • Crunchy mixture is ready!! store it an air tight container.
