thalipu mor kuzhambu

Thalipu mor kuzhambu


Yogurt               - 1 cup
Water                - 2 cup
Onion                -1/2 finely chopped
Mustard seeds   -1/4 tsp
urad dhal           -1/2 tsp
cumin seeds       - 1/2 tsp
chana dhal         -1 tsp
green chillies      -2 slitted
curry leaves        -few
turmeric              -1/4 tsp
cilantro               -to garnish
salt                      -to taste


  • In a mixer blend yogurt with water and salt.

  • In a kadai heat oil and allow mustard seeds to splutter.
  • Temper with urad dal,cumin seeds,chana dhal, green chillies,curry leaves.

  • Now add onion and turmeric and fry until it turns translucent.

  • Pour in the beaten yogurt and switch off the stove in few seconds.

  • Garnish with cilantro.

  • Serve over rice.

Serves 2-4
