Coriander coconut chutney
Ingredients:
Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
roasted chana dhal - 1 tbsp(pottu kadalai)
shredded coconut - 1/4 cup
onion - 1/4 sliced
Tamarind - very little
green chillies - 4 nos
garlic - 1 clove
salt - 1 tsp
oil - 1 tsp
For tempering:
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
urad dhal - 1/2 tsp
Red chilli - 1
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan and add garlic cloves and green chillies .
- fry for a minute and add sliced onion.
- Fry for 2 minutes and add coriander leaves,tamarind and salt
- Fry until coriander leaves get shrinked,
- follow it by shredded coconut and roasted chana dhal and fry for 1 minute.
- Allow it to cool off and blend into fine texture
- In a pan heat oil and temper it with mustard seeds and urad dhal and red chillies
- Serve with Idli/dosa
