Chicken rezela



Chicken                 -300g
Small Onion  paste-1/2 cup
Big onion               -1(cut like rings)
yogurt                     -1cup
green chili               -3 to 4
ginger paste             -1/2tsp
garlic paste              -1/2tsp
oil                           -2tbsp
salt                          -to taste

For grinding
poppy seeds            -1tsp
cashew nuts            -6


ghee or butter  -2 tbsp
whole garam    -to temper(cinnamon,cloves,cardamom)
red chili            -2
pepper corn      -1/2 tsp


  •  Marinate the chicken with onion paste, chopped green chili ginger paste,garlic paste,oil and salt and refrigerate it  for at least an hour.

  • Soak ingredients for grinding in water for 30 minutes.

  • In blender grind ingredients for grinding into a smooth paste.
  • Heat ghee/butter in a pan and add whole garam, red chili, peppercorns.

  • Add the marinated chicken and fry until raw smell goes off.

  • Then add onion rings .

  • once onion gets cooked add beaten yogurt and ground paste.

  • Cover and cook well until chicken is fully done.

  • serve with chapathi /paratha.

Serves  2-4
