Chicken Jalfrezi

Chicken Jalfrezi


Chicken bonelessbreasts-1/2 kg
green bell pepper           -1/2
red bell pepper               -1/2
whipping cream             -1 cup
onion                              -2
tomato                            -1
garlic                              -3
ginger                             -1/2 inch
coriander powder           -1 tbsp.
chilli powder                 -1 tsp
garam masala                -1/2 tsp
oil                                  -2 tsp
salt                                -to taste
turmeric                       -little


  • Cut chicken into cubes and bell pepper into strips.
  • Blend onion, ginger and  garlic into a smooth paste and keep it aside.

  • Blend tomato into a puree.
  • In a kadai heat oil and add the onion ginger garlic paste.

  • When raw smell goes completely and cooks well add the pureed tomato.

  • After a minute add coriander powder, salt, turmeric, chili powder and garam masala.

  • Mix well and add the chicken and bell peppers. add little water.

  • Cover it with a lid and cook until chicken is  80% done
  • Now add the whipping cream and cook until chicken is completely done.

  • Garnish with cilantro

  • Serve with chapathi/naan
