Tomato Kurma/Thakkali kuruma
Ingredients:
Tomato - 3 cups finely choppedonion -1 cup finely chopped
whole garam -to temper
salt -to taste
ginger garlic paste -1tsp
chilli powder -1/2 tsp
garam masala -pinch
coriander powder -1/2 tsp
turmeric powder -1/8tsp
oil -1tbsp
For grinding:
Shredded coconut -1/2 cupgreen chillies -2
fennel seeds -1/2 tsp
Method:
- In a blender grind the ingredients for grinding into a smooth paste adding little water.
- In a pan heat oil and temper with whole garam
- Add onion and fry until transparent.
- Add ginger garlic paste and turmeric until raw flavor goes off.
- Add finely chopped tomatoes and mix well.
- Add coriander powder,chilli powder salt and cover it with a lid.
- Cook until tomatoes are mushy and add the ground paste to it.
