Butter Murukku

Butter Murukku



Rice flour                           - 2 cups
urad dhal flour                   - 1 cup
Roasted chana dhal flour   - 1 cup
butter                                 - 2 tbsp
sesame seeds                     -  1 tsp
chilli powder                     - 11/2 tsp
salt                                    - to taste
oil                                     - to deep fry


  • In a bowl mix rice flour,urad dhal flour,roasted chana dhal flour,salt,chilli powder,sesame seeds thoroughly.

  • Heat butter in a pan until it boils.
  • Add it directly to the bowl and mix well

  • then adding water to make it into a soft dough like in picture.

  • Heat oil for deep frying.
  • Take a small portion of dough and put it into a murukku squeezer and press it into the oil like in picture.

  • fry until golden and break it into pieces.

  • Serve a great snack.
