Goat liver curry/Eeral kuzhambu


Goat liver/eeral              -  400 g
small onions                   -  200g
sesame oil                       - 2 tbsp
salt                                  - to taste
chilli powder                  - 11/2 tsp
cumin powder                - 1 tsp
coriandercumin powder - 1 tbsp
turmeric                          - 1/8 tsp


  • In a cooker heat oil and add finely chopped onions

  • Once the onion turns transparent add the liver and stir for few seconds

  • Put the cleaned  and cubed liver

  • Add salt chilli powder ,cumin powder,turmeric and stir for another 1-2 minutes

  • add 3/4 cups of water and pressure cook for 1 whistle.

  • After the pressure goes off add the coriander cumin powder

  • and cook until oil comes out on top layered

  • Serve with idli or Rice
