Samo seeds upma

 
Ingredients

Samo seeds           -1 cup
Onion                   -1 medium
Tomato                 -1/2
Green chillies       -3
Ginger                  -1/2 inch
Mustard seeds      -1/2 tbsp
Chana dal            -1 tbsp
Curry  leaves       -few
Ghee                    -1 tbsp
Oil -                     -1 tbsp
Salt                      -to taste
cilantro                - to garnish
 
Method:
  • Heat one tbsp ghee and one tbsp oil in a pressure pan and temper with mustard seeds,chanadal dhal and curry leaves.
  • Follow it by adding chopped onions,chopped greenchillies and ginger.
 

  • Fry until the oil turns transparent and add the sliced tomatoes.

  • After 2 minutes add desired salt and 2 1/2 cup of water .

  • once the water starts boiling add a cup of samo seeds and pressure cook for two whistle.

  • garnish with  chopped cilantro after opening and mix well.
 
  • Serve with sambar or coconut chutney
  • .Its healthy and diet food.
