Paneer Pulav

 
 

Ingredients:

 
Paneer                              - 400 g
Basmathi Rice                 -  1 cup
ginger garlic paste           -  1/2 tsp
green chillies                   - 2 -3
Whole garam                   - for tempering
Salt                                   - to taste
cilantro                             - to garnish
 
 

For marinade:

Yogurt                            -   2 tbsp
ginger garlic paste          -  2 tsp
chilli powder                  - 1/2 tbsp
cornflour                        -  2tsp
salt                                  -  to taste
oil                                   - to shallow fry

 

 

 

 

 

Method:

  • In a bowl mix the ingredients given for marinade and add the paneer cubes to it and marinade for atleast 30 minutes



  • Wash and soak basmathi rice for atleast 15 minutes.
  • Shallow frypaneer in oil until golden on all sides and keep it aside.
 



  • In another cooker heat little oil and add the whole garam



  • Add onion and fry until transparent



  • Add the ginger garlic paste and broken green chillies



  • After the raw flavour goes off add the fried paneer and little cilantro




  • Drain the rice and add to the cooker and stir for a while



  • Pour 2 cups of water ,desired salt and pressure cook for 1 whistle
 



  • After Pressure goes off open and garnish with cilantro
