Pudhina Pulav/Mint Pulav


Ingredients:

Basmathi Rice            -    1 cup
Pudhina/mint leaves   -    1 cup
onion                           -    1/2 sliced
ginger garlic paste       -    1  tsp
green chillies              -     3
salt                               -    to taste
Garam masala             -   1 tsp
Ghee                            -   1 tbsp
cilantro                        -   chopped to garnish


Method:

  • Soak the basmathi rice  for upto 15 minutes
  • In a cooker heat ghee and add the onion

  • After it turns transparent add the ginger garlic paste and green chillies

  • After the raw smell goes off add the fresh pudhina leaves

  • Add the salt and garam masala

  • Add the rice and fry for a minute

  • add 2 cups of water and pressure cook for upto 1 whistle

  • After pressure goes off open and garnish with cilantro


  Serves     3
