all purpose flour/maida  -  2 cups
Water                             -  3/4 cup
salt                                  -  as needed
oil                                   -   to deep fry


  • mix maida and salt well with the hands
  • slowly add water to it and simultaneously knead it into a stiff and soft dough.
  • Cover it and keep it aside for 10 - 15 minutes
  • Now divide the dough into equal sized balls(a small lemon size)
  • Roll it into a even circle shapes
  • heat oil in pan for deep frying
  • Once the oil is hot gently drop a circle and when the oil sizzles gently press the circle with a spatula at the centre.
  • The circle expands up and now turn the poori to other side fry it for a while and take it out draining the oil.
  • Repeat the process for all the balls
Serves 3
