Curry leaf chutney(kariveppilai chutney)




onion                       -    1 sliced
Tomato                   -     1 sliced
Garlic cloves          -      2
curry leaves            -      1 cup
urad dhal                -      1  tbsp
green chillies         -       2
oil                          -        2 tsp


  •  in a pan heat oil and add the urad dhal,garlic clove and green chillies.
  • When the urad dhal turns golden put the sliced onion and the curry  leaves
  •  After the onions turn transparent add the chopped tomatoes and salt
  • cook for 5 -7 minutes stirring frequently and switch off
  • Allow it to cool and blend it in a mixer
  • you can add mustard seeds tempering to enhance the flavour
  • Serve with idli or dosa
