Peas Paratha







Ingredients:

For dough

Wheat flour - 1cup
water(warm) - 1/2 cup
salt - 1/2 tsp
oil - 1tsp

For stuffing:

Peas - 1cup
onion - 3 tbsp finely chopped
salt - to taste
chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
cumin seeds - 1tsp
garam masala - 1/4 tsp

Method:

For dough:

  • In a large bowl add flour & salt mix well
  • now add oil and water and make asoft dough
  • keep it aside covered fot atleast 15 minutes
  • make balls now

For stuffing:

  • Boil peas and blend it in a mixer into a fine paste and a dosa batter consistency
  • in a pan heat oil and allow cumin seeds to splutter
  • add onion and fry for a minute
  • add salt chiili powder and the peas paste
  • sprinkle garam masala on it and cook until the paste becomes thick
  • make balls with it in a lemon size
  • Roll the dough and place the peas stuffing in center
  • close the stuffing like a pouch
  • coat it with wheat flour and start rolling again
  • In ahot tava put the stuffed paratha
  • Turn on both sides applying oil or ghee
  • turn until both sides or completely cooked
  • Serve with raitha or yogurt
