Mushroom matar

 



Ingredients:

Mushroom                        300  g
green peas                         1/2 cup
salt                                     to taste
pepper                               1 tsp
coriander powder               1 tbsp
chilli powder                      1 tsp
cilantro                               to garnish
oil                                       2 tbsp

For grinding:

onion  diced                             1  cup
tomato                                      2  cup
ginger                                       1 inch
garlic                                         3 cloves
green chillies                              3
fennel seeds                              1 tsp
pudhina leaves                          1/2 cup
Garam masala                           to sprinkle

Method:

  • Grind all the ingredients together that are given for grinding into a smooth paste
  • Wash and cut the button mushrooms and keep it aside
  • In a hot pan heat oil and add the blended paste
  • After 2 minutes add the coriander powder,salt,chilli powder.
  • Fry well for 10 minutes or until the oil oozes out.
  • Now add the green peas and mushrooms to it
  • cook by covering it with a lid.(mushroom oozes its own water)
  • Add upto 2 cups of water.
  • Cover it with a lid and cook for about 10 minutes
  • Sprinkle garam masala and cilantro
  • Serve with fried rice or chapathi

  • Serve   3
