Mushroom gravy

Mushroom curry

    Ingredients:

    Button mushrooms 10-12
    gingergarlic paste   -1 tsp
    big onion                 -3 finely chopped
    coriander powder      -2 tbsp
    salt                             -to taste
    chilli powder             -1 tsp
    garam powder             -to sprinkle
    oil                                 -1 tbsp
    roasted cashew            -10 -12

for garnishing

big onion     -1/2 sliced
tomato         -1/2 sliced
curry leaves   -few
Green chillies-2 sliced
salt and pepper- to taste

Method:

  • Clean the mushrooms and cut into 4 or 6 pcs depending on the size
  • In a pressure cooker heat oil add chopped onions and fry until golden brown
  • Now add ginger garlic paste and turmeric
  • after a minute add mushrooms coriander powder,chilli powder and salt
  • just put the lid on cooker top without closing it and wait until mushroom oozes water
  • Now close the lid and pressure cook for one whistle.
  • simultaneously make a coarse paste of roasted cashews in mixer by adding little water
  • Open the cooker add the cashew paste and cook it for another 3 minutes adding little water if necessary
  • in a pan add little oil and toss slice onions tomatoes green chillies curry leaves salt and pepper for 3 minutes
  • Garnish it over the curry
  • serve with chapathis or peas pulav
